Sainsbury's own brand ready meals

Over the next few months, Sainsbury’s is introducing all-British, high quality meat – with assured welfare standards in place – to all its ready meals. The only exception to this is where continental meats are used for authenticity, such as the prosciutto ham used in Sainsbury’s Inspired to Cook Basil Chicken and Prosciutto Ham. Similarly, when in season, British vegetables are now used in all side dishes and vegetable medleys, while all potato-based dishes will be made using British Maris Pipers. As appealing is the fact that there are no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or hydrogenated fats in any of Sainsbury’s chilled convenuence meals.
