McVities Biscuits

Description

The first ever digestive biscuit was created by a new young employee, Alexander Grant. The name Digestive was derived from its high content of baking soda as an aid to food digestion. McVities are produced by United Biscuits which was founded in 1948 following the merger of two Scottish family businesses - McVitie & Price and MacFarlane Lang. The vast majority of United Biscuits UK-made products use British flour but most of the sugar in their products is sourced from outside the UK.
