Farrington’s Mellow Yellow award winning cold pressed rapeseed oil and dressings are produced by the Farrington family at Bottom Farm in Hargrave, Northamptonshire. Farming for four generations, they take pride in nurturing healthy crops, grown to LEAF Marque standards. Omega 3s & 6s Cold pressed rapeseed oil contains a natural balance of omega 3, 6 and 9 oils, making it a great source for these essential fatty acids. ‘Good oils’ are essential in bodily functions, including aiding cholesterol reduction, and maintaining a healthy heart. Omega 3 also helps form the building blocks for brain and eye tissue development, and is therefore beneficial in the diets of young children. Whilst omega 6 can be found in several food sources, it is harder to include omega 3 in our diet. The high ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 that occurs in cold pressed rapeseed oil, helps redress this in-balance, and ensures optimum nutritional benefit. Vitamin E Cold pressed rapeseed oil contains natural vitamin E, which is a powerful antioxidant. This is used by the body to fight against the effects of free radicals (ageing toxins), keeping us fresh, and full of energy.
