In 1874, Sarah Jane, wife of Oxford shopkeeper Frank Cooper, manufactured the very first batch of Frank Cooper's marmalade. And in 1903, to satisfy demand, an entire factory opened near the railway station. British sugar is used in the products. In addition to their Oxford marmalades, their conserves range includes Strawberries, Summer Berry and Blackcurrant and they produce mincemeats at Christmas-time.
