Description
In 1890 Thomas Tunnock bought a shop in Uddingston, Glasgow, which he, and later his son Archie, operated as a bakery and purveyors of quality flour confectionery. It wasn't until the 1950s that their Caramel Wafers, Snowballs, Caramel Logs and Teacakes emerged. The condensed milk that they use in their recipes is English. The flour is mainly from British wheat but some North American wheat is also used as it has a higher protein content. The suagr is supplier by Tate & Lyle and cocoa powder is sourced from a company in the Wirral, Cheshire.
